![]() I finished this spread yesterday 12/12/12. This is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, so I wanted to use this image. I got many of the supplies that I used on this spread from the Artistcellar a wonderful on-line shop where you can get a lot of fun art supplies. On this spread I used the Paris stencil from the Cathedral series, two of the Dylusions ink sprays in vibrant turquoise and crushed grape. I also used the silk fibers in Mulberry on the tag and I outlined the words with a Uniball Signo gel pen in white. If you would like to check out this shop you can go here: http://artistcellar.com ![]() I made some 3-D flowers to echo the roses as well. I painted a sheet of light weight mixed media paper first. I cut rough circles out of the paper when it was dry and cut those into spirals. I took the spirals and curled them tightly and used fast dry glue to hold them in shape and to the page. I hope you enjoy this page and have a great week.

I am a mother of five children from ages 21 to 5. I spend most of my time mothering and keeping house. In my free time I like to play with textiles, art journaling and painting. I have a degree in textile and apparel studies with a design focus. Right now I am more interested in fiber arts than apparel design, but I don't know where my journey will take me. Categories
