I took these photos near Homer, Alaska yesterday. I am enjoying the scenery here and getting to know the area. There is so much inspiration here that I'm itching to get to creating. I'm looking forward to getting a house again and setting up my studio so that I can work again. I have a few basic supplies available, so I may create some simple things soon. Have a great week,
Janelle

My family and I managed to pack up our house and make the long drive to Alaska from Michigan. The trip was close to 4000 miles long and took us 6 days of driving. One of my daughters, my two younger boys, and I drove up in our van. My brother drove up the Uhaul truck with our belongings. (My husband and son went to Alaska a whole month before the rest of us so that my husband could start work and my son could start school.)
We made the trip safely and got the truck unloaded. We are in a temporary home while we wait for our Michigan house to sell and can find a house here. The trip was full of beautiful scenery. We drove up through Canada and into Alaska. I'll share some of my favorite photos from the trip with you. |

I am a mother of five children from ages 21 to 5. I spend most of my time mothering and keeping house. In my free time I like to play with textiles, art journaling and painting. I have a degree in textile and apparel studies with a design focus. Right now I am more interested in fiber arts than apparel design, but I don't know where my journey will take me. Categories
