Fabric Dyeing Workshop
I can come to your location, or you can come to my studio. I will host a workshop on fabric dyeing for plant fibers, such as cotton, rayon, or linen. I'll teach you dyeing techniques from basic on up to more advanced techniques depending on your knowledge and interests. These are the techniques that I can teach at your workshop. You can choose the techniques that you would like to learn.

The full day workshop is $55.00 plus a $20.00 supply fee
The half day workshop is $40.00 plus a $15.00 supply fee

- Low immersion dyeing
- Tie dyeing
- Shibori pole wrapping
- Resist dyeing
- Snow or ice dyeing
- Painting with dyes
- Printing with dyes
You need to bring these supplies:
- Work shirt or apron to cover clothes and wear clothes that can get messy
- 2 medium sized plastic containers with lids to bring your fabric home.
- Dust mask rated N:95 can be found at a hardware or home improvement stores.
- 2 yards of 100% white cotton fabric, washed and dried with no fabric softener or dryer sheets. You can also bring 2 skeins of cotton yarn if you would prefer to dye yarn.
I will provide:
- All the dyes and chemicals needed
- Synthrapol detergent for washing out the dyed goods.
- Tools
- Take home handouts
- Brushes, stencils, stamps, etc for painting and printing on fabric with dyes
- I will also provide a sampler pack of threads, ribbon, cheesecloth, or yarn for you to experiment with dyeing alternative materials.
- I will provide 2 extra yards of cotton print cloth for the full day workshop.

Easy Mixed Media Lesson
Are you interested in Mixed Media Art but don't know how to get started? Or maybe you need a fun painting for a party. This lesson includes step by step instructions for creating your very own painting. I also give you a supply list so that you know exactly what you need.
This lesson has been used at a teen party with great success. All of the girls created a unique and wonderful painting to take home. It is great to use alone or in a party setting. I'm always available to answer any questions that you may have and help you along your mixed media journey. The PDF includes five pages of detailed instructions with large photos. There are three pages of supplies with pictures also. A large photo of a finished piece is included as an example. There are nine pages total in this lesson.
This lesson is available through a PDF download so there is no shipping. I will e-mail the lesson to you after payment is completed. It is $7.00 and yours too keep and use as much as you would like. Please don't share the file with others though, but you can print off copies for a party or for yourself. I hope that this will give all you beginners a great start on your mixed media journey.
