I have done a little bit of art among all the sewing for Christmas. I started this lesson a while ago, but I just finished up the lesson yesterday. This was done for the on-line class Lifebook which is a wonderful course and well worth the money. This particular lesson was taught by the talented artist Jane Davenport. I had a lot of fun learning how to draw mermaids. I used craft paints, Distress stain, Adironack color wash spray, Prismacolor pencils, Dr. PH Martins iridescent paints, Sakura Souffle pens Sakura gel pens, and Sharpie paint pens. I punched the bubbles out of the same sheet that I made my star out of that I wrote about earlier.

I am a mother of five children from ages 21 to 5. I spend most of my time mothering and keeping house. In my free time I like to play with textiles, art journaling and painting. I have a degree in textile and apparel studies with a design focus. Right now I am more interested in fiber arts than apparel design, but I don't know where my journey will take me. Categories
